Summary
In August 2019 ToonDoo a popular online comic strip creation platform experienced a data breach that compromised the personal information of approximately 4 million users. The exposed data included email addresses usernames passwords genders geographic locations and IP addresses. The breach was discovered on November 11 2019 prompting ToonDoo to immediately shut down its website to contain the incident. The company initiated a forensic investigation but was unable to determine the exact cause of the breach. Consequently ToonDoo.com and Toondoospaces.com were permanently closed.
