The Breach Risk Index (BRI) is a proprietary 0–100 score rating how dangerous a breach is right now, based on how recently the data has been circulating on the dark web and how valuable it is to attackers.
In March 2026, ShinyHunters claimed a large ZenBusiness breach spanning data from Snowflake, Mixpanel and Salesforce, and released it after a ransom deadline passed. The dataset contains roughly 12.8 million rows and about 5 million unique email addresses, with names, phone numbers, addresses and Social Security numbers present across leads, support and CRM records. This entry tracks about 13 million circulating records, and a searchable copy was posted publicly in April 2026.

ZenBusiness is a US online business-formation and compliance platform headquartered in Austin, Texas, helping entrepreneurs form LLCs and corporations and handle state filings, registered-agent service, licenses and ongoing compliance. It serves large numbers of small-business owners and sole proprietors nationwide.
As a business-formation service, ZenBusiness holds founder and small-business-owner records that can be highly sensitive, including names, home and business addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and, for formation and tax filings, Social Security numbers and EINs, alongside CRM, lead and support data across platforms such as Salesforce, Snowflake and Mixpanel.
In March 2026 ShinyHunters claimed data exfiltrated from ZenBusiness's Snowflake, Mixpanel and Salesforce platforms, setting a March 30 deadline; after non-payment the data was released, and by April 13, 2026 a searchable copy had been posted publicly. Class-action litigation followed.
Because ZenBusiness serves business founders, the breach exposes small-business owners' identity and formation data at scale, including Social Security numbers, creating direct identity- and business-fraud exposure and prompting class-action litigation. Public posting of a searchable copy sharply increases downstream misuse risk and notification obligations across many states.
A consumer-service breach: contact and account data supports phishing, account takeover and profile enrichment. For a high-profile principal the main risk is credible impersonation and enrichment of existing exposure.
Motivation: Financial extortion, data sale
A prolific data theft and extortion group that began as a database theft and resale actor and evolved toward SaaS-focused extortion. Recent activity involves vishing, credential harvesting, SSO compromise, and theft of customer data from cloud and SaaS environments.
