Send a message

Tell us what is going on.

A few sentences is enough to start. We reply through the channel you choose, and the first conversation is free, with no obligation.

Some clients arrive with a known threat. Others want to understand their exposure before anything happens. Either is a good reason to get in touch.

Not every matter is a fit. If we are not the right firm, we will tell you on the first call and, where we can, point you to someone who is.

A first name is enough. Nothing at all is also fine.

Most clients arrive by introduction.

Holding a coin

If someone handed you an ObscureIQ coin, they had a reason. The reference on it routes to a named analyst rather than to a queue, and it tells us who sent you without you having to explain the situation twice.

Introductions

The firm does not advertise. Nearly every new client comes through counsel, a security professional, a family office, or a prior client saying that this is the firm for the matter. Those introductions receive priority response.

If you are making an introduction, the shortest useful message names the person, the shape of the problem, and how they prefer to be reached. Nothing more is needed at that stage.

We are not found by searching. We are found by being told.
For sensitive situations

If the approach itself needs to be private.

Most people can use any channel above. If yours is a situation where even the first message could cause harm, a few things help.

Choosing a channel

Signal (PrivacyStan.10) leaves nothing on our side and is the right choice if you are being watched or your devices may not be yours alone. The form collects only what you type, and messages are deleted within 60 days unless you ask us to keep the thread open. Email and phone are fine for most people, but both leave records with providers neither of us controls. PGP is available on request.

Keeping it safe

Keep the first message thin: name the situation, not the particulars. Anonymous first contact, aliases and temporary inboxes are all fine, and we will not ask who you really are before answering. We reply only through the channel you opened. Once you are a client, you receive separate, private channels and a named analyst.
